Jane's Police Review Gala Awards

Diversity in Action Award 2008

After completing just over one full year Operation Reclaim has once again been recognised across Britain as one of the top projects in the country.

The project has made it to the final list of nominees selected for the Diversity in Action Award at the Jane's Police Review Gala Awards, taking place in London, Thursday 13 November 2008.

This prestigious award ceremony will reward the unsung heroes of UK community policing and by being nominated it proves that Operation Reclaim - managed by Sidekix - is having a positive effect in local communities.

CoSLA Excellence Award 2008

Best Team Award

So it is official, Saturday Sport Scene is the best project in Scotland.

The hard work of everyone involved with the project was rewarded as Saturday Sportscene was crowned with the CoSLA Excellence Award for the Top Team Project across the country for the quality of service provided to the public.

NL Leisure Chief Executive Blane Dodds said, ‘the winning of such a prestigious award rubber stamps the quality of the Saturday Sport Scene project.

'We have always said that if you give young people opportunities to take part in activities they are interested in then you will always have a successful project'.

'A special mention must go to Sidekix who co-ordinate the Saturday night project'.

'Their hard work and experience in working with diversionary projects ensure engagement with the young people is at the forefront of the success of the project'.

Operation Reclaim Highly Commended

Sidekix directors Carroll and Paul Kelly attended the Regeneration and Renewal Awards in London where Operation Reclaim was nominated for the Social Regeneration Project of the Year.

Narrowly missing out on first place, Operation Reclaim won second place and was highly commended for providing sports and training activities to young people as a way of tackling crime.

For the third time this year one of the projects managed by Sidekix has been nominated for a prestigious award thus, enhancing the reputation of our company and proving that the hard-work of our staff is paying dividends.

Young Scot of the Year Award 2007

Our very own Sidekix coach Lianne Rundell won the Young Scot Sport Award. Nominated alongside professional stars Alan Hutton and Jamie Murray, Lianne was rewarded for her dedication to participating and coaching in Scottish sport.

Lianne was delighted to win the Young Scot award, which is evidence of the great work she has been doing with Sidekix and in the local community of Shotts. Everyone at Sidekix is very pleased that Lianne who puts so much effort into sport has been rewarded with a prestigious award and that her dedication to coaching youngsters has been acknowledged.
